EAST BAY (KPIX) — Ann Notarangelo, reporter and weekend anchor for KPIX/KBCW is featured with three other local news mavens in May’s Diablo Magazine cover story, “Women to Watch: East Bay Anchors on the Future of News, Knowing Their Neighborhoods and What They’re Hiding Under the Desk.”

The article written by Peter Crook, photography by Norma Cordova profiles four journalists, discussing life behind the anchor desk.

Notarangelo is a Bay Area native who started watching KPIX 5, coincidentally when she was 5. “When I was in the fourth grade, I heard that Walker Cronkite was the most trusted man in America. I thought that sounded so cool, that a job required a sense of trust. From that point on, I wanted to be a journalist.”

Julie Haener from KTVU, and Jessica Aguirre and Diane Dwyer both from KNTV share the cover.
