Saint Mary’s Announces All-Star Game Featuring Basketball Program’s Best

MORAGA (CBS SF) -Fans of the Saint Mary’s basketball are in for a treat this summer as some of the biggest names in the school’s athletic history return for a the Gales Basketball All-Star Classic, a matchup of the programs brightest stars.

The athletic department has announced via press release that on Sunday, June 29 at 6 p.m., former Saint Mary’s stars Patrick Mills, Matthew Dellavedova, Omar Samhan, Mickey McConnell, Daniel Kickert, E.J. Rowland, Diamon Simpson , Rob Jones, Ian O’Leary and Stephen Holt will join other fan favorites for a showcase game.

The school saw 18 former standouts play professional basketball last year, including Mills and Dellavadova picking up paychecks in the NBA.

“Our program has developed such strong ties between players, coaches, alumni and the community that we wanted to find a way to continue to strengthen those relationships,” said head coach Randy Bennett.  “With so many players currently on professional teams throughout the world, it has been impossible to get everyone back on campus during the season.”

Tickets are available for $5 through AND at the SMC Athletic Ticket. Youth 12 and under receive free admission.
