KPIX 5 Poll Shows Incumbent Mike Honda Likely To Face Challenger Ro Khanna In November
SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) -- A KPIX 5 phone survey taken this week showed strong support among South Bay women and seniors for incumbent Rep. Mike Honda in his 17th Congressional District re-election bid.
With less than two weeks remaining before the June 3 primary, 40% of registered voters surveyed in KPIX 5's exclusive telephone poll -- conducted by SurveyUSA between Tuesday and Thursday May 20-22 -- supported Honda, with 21% favoring Ro Khanna. Vanila Singh polled 8% followed by Republican candidate Joel VanLandingham at just 6%.

In addition to his support among women and seniors, Honda's numbers were boosted by registered Democrats, liberals and middle-income voters. Khanna is backed by Asian Americans, independents, moderates and affluent voters.
