3 Wounded After Shooter Opens Fire On Car Driving In Oakland
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Three people were shot while driving in East Oakland Friday night, according to police.
The shooting was reported in the 2500 block of 38th Avenue at 10:19 p.m., police said.
Five people were riding in a car there when someone in another car opened fire on them, police Capt. Steven Tull said.
Three people were hit by gunfire. Their car then crashed into a fence of a house in the area, Tull said.
The three victims were hospitalized and are expected to recover. Police are trying to determine a motive in the case and identify the suspects in the other car.
