SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — San Francisco Giants’ outfielder Hunter Pence tweeted someone stole his custom motorized scooter Sunday night.

Following the Giants’ 8-1 win over the Minnesota Twins at AT&T Park on Sunday afternoon, Pence wrote on Twitter, “Ahhhh someone stole my scooter!”

It’s unknown where Pence’s scooter was stolen, but fans joined in on the conversation to voice their support and outrage over his missing two-wheel ride.

Pence had gained notoriety for using the scooter to get to and from the ballpark for games. The Giants even included a mini-scooter as part of a bobblehead doll of Pence given away to fans at a game last month.

Team officials and San Francisco police were not immediately available to provide more information about the theft.

By mid-afternoon Monday, Union Square restaurant Lefty O’Doul’s had announced a $200 reward with drink and meal tickets for the return of the scooter. Restaurant manager John Fair said the unmarked envelope would contain unmarked bills and that whoever were to return the stolen item would even get a head start.

“If they start chasing him, we’ll hold the doors back for 10 minutes so he can get away,” he said.

Fair felt compassion towards Pence and said that the scooter was an extension of him, adding that he could tell from following him on social media that he really wanted it back.

Pence was traded to the Giants and helped their run to a World Series title in 2012, then was one of Major League Baseball’s top hitters in 2013, hitting .283 with 27 home runs, 99 RBI and 22 steals. He is hitting  .294 with six homers and six steals for San Francisco so far this year.
