3 Wounded In 2 East Oakland Shootings

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Three people were wounded in two separate shootings in East Oakland on Saturday evening and early Sunday morning, a police officer said.

The first shooting was reported just after 5 p.m. Saturday in the 8500 block of Plymouth Avenue, according to Oakland police Officer J. Kroushour.

Two armed suspects shot two victims, who were taken to area hospitals in stable condition, he said.

The suspects fled in a vehicle and remained at large as of Sunday morning.

Kroushour said another shooting occurred around 2:15 a.m. in the 1200 block of 83rd Avenue, wounding one person.

That victim was able to transport themselves to a hospital and was in stable condition.

An armed suspect was seen leaving the area in a vehicle but has not been located.

Suspect descriptions were not available in connection with either shooting.
