Armed Masked Robbers Enter Orinda Home, Pistol-Whip Residents

ORINDA (CBS SF) — Three sleeping Orinda residents were awoken early this morning by armed, masked men inside their home, police said.

The home invasion robbery happened around 1:40 a.m. at a house in the first block of La Espiral Road, according to Orinda police.

One resident told officers that they had all been sleeping when two suspects armed with guns and wearing masks woke them up and robbed them.

The suspects pistol-whipped two of the residents during the course of the robbery before fleeing with property from the home, according to police.

Police were unable to locate the suspects.

One of the residents told officers that the home’s front door had been unlocked at the time of the robbery.

Police said they are investigating the possibility that the suspects know the victims or were familiar with the house prior to the robbery.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Orinda police at (925) 254-6820.
