BURLINGAME (KPIX 5) — A group of detoured ducks must have made a wrong turn somewhere in downtown Burlingame Tuesday afternoon, and it took some intervention to get them back on track.
A mama duck and her ducklings drew a large crowd as they maneuvered their way through obstacles and people’s legs.
The duck brood quickly found friends among the crowd, who sheltered them and provided snacks to share. Other kids fed the mama duck parts of a sandwich.
Eventually, a passerby gathered up the ducks in a large plastic tub and relocated them to a nearby lake.
No foul play was suspected.
