LAFAYETTE (CBS SF) — A woman was struck and killed by a truck while walking in Lafayette Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

Police said the deadly collision occurred in the area of El Nido Ranch and Upper Happy Valley roads around 1:15 p.m.

Emergency responders found the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck involved in the collision was uninjured, remained at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation.

KCBS Traffic: Current Road Conditions

Police have shut down the intersection of El Nido Ranch and Upper Valley roads and said it is expected to remain closed into this evening while the investigation into the collision continues.
