Firefighters Battle Grass Fire Near South San Jose Golf Course

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — Firefighters were battling a one-alarm vegetation fire next to the Los Lagos Golf Course in South San Jose Monday afternoon, a dispatcher said.

The Fire Department received a report about the fire at 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of Senter Road and East Capitol Expressway, according to the dispatcher.

There were no other details immediately available about how the fire started and how much it had spread, the dispatcher said.

Just a few miles away, homes had to be evacuated due to a 70-acre grass fire burning in San Jose.
