Spraying Planned For More South Bay Mosquitoes Discovered With West Nile Virus
SANTA CLARA COUNTY (KCBS)_ The discovery of several mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus in the South Bay is prompting officials to once again spray for the insect.
Santa Clara County Vector Control District officials found the mosquitoes in an area where Campbell, Monte Sereno and Los Gatos come together near Lark Avenue and Los Gatos Boulevard.
Crews will spray a mist in that area Tuesday night beginning at 11 p.m. Vector control officials have seen a sharp rise in West Nile cases this year.
