Man Sitting In Vehicle Shot Dead In SF Bayview; CIty’s 15th Homicide Of 2014

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — A man was shot and killed Friday night as he sat in a vehicle in the Bayview neighborhood, police said.

The shooting occurred at about 10 p.m. near Harbor Road and Ingalls Street, according to San Francisco police Sgt. Danielle Newman.

Newman said it appeared that the 45-year-old man was sitting in a vehicle when he was shot.

He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Newman said police are investigating the shooting and there are no suspects at this time.

The man’s name has not yet been released.

Friday’s shooting marks the city’s 15th homicide, according to Newman.

    Hello: Only 15 Homicides, so far this year? It is terrible to have just One (1) Homicide in a City, but to have only 15 in nearly 7 months, is something to look at. If my calculation is correct it means that they will wind up with less than 30 for the year, which is still way too many. I DON’T BELIEVE THIS.
