'Leaked Star Wars VII' Footage Actually a Viral Fan Video

FRANKFURT, GERMANY (CBS SF) - San Bruno-based YouTube has it's enormous share of videos created by die hard Star Wars fans. But recently, a fan from Germany posted a realistic Star Wars video that has gone viral. Since July 2nd, when the video was published, over 1.5 million viewers watched the one and half minute video online.

The video headlined as "Leaked Star Wars Episode VII Filmset Footage" depicts familiar space vehicles from the Lucasfilm series in a Imperial Starport located in Frankfurt, Germany. Its easy to realize that Frankfurt, Germany is not an actual setting in a "galaxy far, far away..."

Imperial Star Destroyers, AT-ATs, and Stormtroopers can be seen all over the "starport." During a shot of a shuttle taking off, the image of the partially constructed Death Star (from Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of The Jedi) can be seen high above the Earth. Complete with sound effects including the roaring engines of Imperial Tie Fighters traveling through the air.

Judge for yourself. Do you think the footage could be worthy of Industrial Light & Magic? We say, not bad.
