Overturned Big Rig Snarls Traffic On Eastbound I-580 In Livermore
LIVERMORE (CBS SF) -- All westbound lanes on Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore have reopened after an overturned big rig blocked lanes on both side of the freeway near Vasco Road Thursday morning.
Westbound lanes have reopened, but 2 eastbound lanes are still blocked with traffic still backed up at the Altamont Pass.
A Sigalert was issued at 5:47 a.m., according to CHP.
The CHP expects to have the eastbound lanes cleared by 9 a.m. In the meantime, motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes.
