San Jose Man Fatally Stabs Man, Injures Woman In Apparent Domestic Dispute

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A suspect is in custody in connection with a stabbing that killed a man and injured a woman near Leland High School in San Jose Saturday evening, a police spokesman said.

Police said the suspect knew the victims and the stabbing appears to be a domestic disputes.

Officers responded to a report of person stabbed in the 6600 block of Charter Oak Place shortly after 6 p.m., San Jose police Officer Albert Morales said.

The man was found suffering from at least one stab wound and transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Morales said.

The woman was injured with wounds that were not believed to be life-threatening, she said.

The suspect was found near the scene and taken into custody, Morales said.

The homicide is the city's 24th this year.
