Hi, it’s Jayn with another 15 things you can do in the Bay Area.
1 – Come get your laugh on with comedian Bill Bellamy at Cobb’s Comedy Club on Thursday August 21st at 8:00pm. Show is 18 & over with valid photo ID.
2 – Head over to The Mission Village Market on Saturday, August 23rd, from 9:00am to 4:00pm and take advantage of the weekly offerings of regionally grown produce, food, live music and swap meet.
3 – Jack White, front man of The White Stripes will be performing at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, Friday, August 22nd and Saturday, August 23rd. Doors are at 8:00pm. Tickets available online today.
4 – Free never sounded so good! San Francisco’s own, The Frail, will be performing live at Amoeba Music in San Francisco, Saturday, August 23rd at 2:00pm.
5 – Calling all Fashionista’s: Dark Beauty Magazine’s 4-year Anniversary Celebration is happening on Saturday, August 23rd, 9:30pm to 5:30am at Venue 550 in San Francisco.
6 –- Don’t miss out on the last days of The San Francisco International Photography Exhibition, Gallery Photographica at Studio 17. Free admission, 1:00pm to 6:00pm, Thursday, August 21st through Sunday, August 24th.
7 – Come see an immersive video installation by artist Summer Mei Ling Lee at The Chinese Culture Center on August 21st, from 10:00am To 4:00pm.
8 – Take yourself out to the ballgame and watch our local Oakland A’s play the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday, August 24th at 1:05pm at the Overstock.com Coliseum, in Oakland.
9 – Kids love the interactive reading adventures at the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito on Thursday, August 21st at 3:00pm.
10 – Come see the animals and listen to volunteers and staff share their stories on Saturday, August, 23rd from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the Koret Animal Resource Center located at the San Francisco Zoo.
11 – Where can you walk, run, bike, dance, and basically do any physical activity? At Sunday Streets in the Mission, San Francisco. Event hours are 11:00am to 4:00pm, Sunday, August 24th.
12 – Experience some culture on Korea Day and visit the Asian Art Museum, Sunday, August 24th 11:00am to 4:00pm.
13 – The Conservatory of Flowers is featuring “CHOMP! They Came from the Swamp.” View hundreds of carnivorous plants and learn about their meat-eating ways, Friday, August 22nd, 10:00am – 4:30pm.
