9 Bay Area Sports Organizations Take The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

 It seems like everyone these days is taking part in the Ice Bucket challenge for ALS. It seems to be working too— the viral media campaign has raised over  $4 million for the cause.

Many of our own Bay Area athletes got in on it, both the ice water, and the donations, from the Warriors to the ‘Quakes.

Check out our roundup of nine local major sports organizations who took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge:

The San Jose Earthquakes:

The Director of Athletics opted to not drop a bucket of water due to the drought, but donated a check to the cause.
