NFL Players Name Oakland Raiders Least Desirable Team To Play For In Anonymous Poll

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - In a secret poll of more than 100 NFL players, the Oakland Raiders were the most frequent response to a question about where athletes don't want to pick up a paycheck.

ESPN reports that Oakland received 23 percent of survey responses to the question "The only way I'd play for (name a Team) is if they doubled my salary."

Only 82 players actually filled out the survey, meaning 19 players pegged Oakland as their least desirable destination.

The Buffalo Bills (19%), Cleveland Browns (16%), Jacksonville Jaguars (9%) and Green Bay Packers (6%) rounded out the top (bottom?) five.

Current Raiders, including future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson, expressed surprise at the findings.

"I've never heard anybody that said they didn't want to play for the Raiders, so that's pretty shocking," Woodson told ESPN. "I think that poll might be kind of skewed."

The Raiders, who play in a division with three 2013 playoff teams, are looking for their first winning season in a dozen years.
