Pictures Of Lost, Found Pets From Napa Earthquake Featured On Facebook Pages

NAPA (CBS SF) -- The earthquake that rocked Napa and Sonoma counties also caused a number of pets to flee in panic, prompting the creating of a Facebook page to try and reunite the lost pets with their owners.

The Missing Pets of Napa Quake page features pictures of lost cats and dogs either posted by their owners looking for help finding them, by shelters holding found pets, or by others who have come across missing animals.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the page had more than 350 members.

The Napa County Animal Shelter also has a Facebook page featuring some of the same missing and found animals.

A series of five aftershocks, one registering a preliminary magnitude 3.9, rattled Napa earlier Tuesday, about 48 hours after the primary 6.0 magnitude tremor woke up the region and injured over 200 people.
