SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who robbed and beat an elderly woman in the Tenderloin neighborhood earlier this month.

The 87-year-old victim was attacked on Leavenworth Street near O’Farrell St. around 9 p.m. on August 8th when she was knocked to the ground and dragged, causing multiple broken bones.

Police say the attacker was described as a black male, 40-50 years of age, 5’10-6’00 and tall with a skinny face. He was wearing a knit cap and a dark jacket that may have been leather.

The victim remained under medical care Thursday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Sergeant Michael Zhang of the Tenderloin Station Investigations Team at 415-345-7300. Or to submit an anonymous tip here.
