2 Teens Trapped By High-Tide Rescued From Cliffs North Of Ocean Beach In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The San Francisco Fire Department Sunday safely rescued two men trapped by high tides beneath the Cliff House restaurant at the northern end of Ocean Beach, fire officials said.

The Fire Department received a call at 3:18 p.m. about two men who were unable to get out of an area under the Cliff House, at 1090 Point Lobos, after walking there from the beach, officials reported.

The two men in their late teens were trapped inside a small outlet at beach level by high tides that blocked them from walking back, firefighters said.

Firefighters were able to extract the two men within about an hour and there were no reported injuries, the department reported.
