SF Supervisors Adopt Resolution Denouncing 49ers For Playing Ray McDonald After Arrest For Alleged Domestic Violence
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco Supervisors have unanimously adopted a resolution that takes the 49ers to task for allowing a team member, who's the focus of a domestic violence investigation to play in last Sunday's game.
49ers Defensive End Ray McDonald was arrested in his South San Jose home last month on a felony domestic violence charge. McDonald has not been formally charged as an investigation into the incident continued.
The Supervisors had strong words for the team's decision, as the resolution was announced Tuesday.
"I took real issue with the fact that the Niners, out of respect for the team, out of respect for the fans, out of respect for the name that they bear – San Francisco, that they couldn't have one player sit out this game, and future games pending the results of this investigation," Supervisor London Breed said while introducing the resolution.

The Supervisors also urged the team not to play McDonald in this Sunday's Home Opener against the Chicago Bears.
