Police Warn Public Of Flasher Exposing Himself In Downtown Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- The Oakland Police Department advised the public Sunday to be aware of a flasher in the downtown area.

According to police officials, a man exposed himself to several women in the area of 19th and Alice streets on Aug. 30 and again on Sept. 14.

Police describe him as being between 20 and 25 years old, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, and 160 pounds. Officials also say he is African American with a medium to dark complexion who wears his hair in multiple braids.

Witnesses told police he was wearing a black sweatshirt with a white triangle design and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to contact the police department's Youth and Family Service Division at (510) 238-3641.
