East San Jose Man Surrenders To Police After Assaulting 2 People With Knife And Barricading Himself In Apartment
SAN JOSE (KCBS) -- A man was arrested in East San Jose after on Tuesday after he assaulted two people with a knife and barricaded himself inside an apartment, police said.
Officer Albert Morales said that the man attacked two people in the area of 18 S. 19th Street about 4 p.m. and the barricaded himself inside he apartment refusing to come out.
About an hour later, the suspect safely surrendered with officers at the scene and all the residents of the apartment and surrounding area that were evacuated as a precaution, were allowed back into their homes.
The two victims are safe and sustained non-life threatening injuries, Morales said
