iPhone 6 Plus Users Complain Big-Screen Device Is Pulling Out Their Hair

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- In a post on the 9to5 Mac website, several users of Apple's new iPhone 6 Plus smartphone are quoted as saying the device is literally pulling out their hair when they hold it to their ear when making calls.

"[I'm] concerned and somewhat irritated that my iPhone 6 Plus keeps yanking out my hair when I'm making a call," a guest commentator going by the handle "Ayeai" wrote on the website. Ayeai identified the seam between the glass screen and the aluminum phone body as being prone to grabbing stray hairs and not letting go.

"Hair gets stuck and when you try to free it out, it hurts," Ayeai wrote.

Several other users chimed in via Twitter, using hashtags such as #beardgate and #HairGate.

The latest complaints come on the heels of reports last week that the new iPhone 6 models were susceptible to bending. After several videos attempting to show how easy it is to deform the new phones went viral on social media, Consumer Reports performed a stress test on both new models and published their finding that "show that both iPhones seem tougher than the Internet fracas implies."
