SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A woman rode away in a wheelchair she stole from 65-year-old man in San Francisco's United Nations Plaza on Thursday evening, police said.

She approached the man from behind just before 8 p.m., hit him in the back of the head and then pushed him out of the wheelchair.

The woman then jumped into the wheelchair and rode away, police said.

The 64-year-old man was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The woman, believed to be about 35 years old, remained at large as of Friday morning.
