Evacuations Ordered In Wildfire Burning In Yosemite National Park

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (CBS SF) -- The Yosemite National Park Service was evacuating an area of the park due to a wildfire.

Meanwhile, the Mariposa Gazette reported an air tanker had crashed while fighting the fire.

The so-called Dog Rock Fire was reported in the western portion of the park near the community of Foresta, according to the park service

The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office said it issued the evacuation order about 2:40 p.m. for Foresta, consisting of approximately 60 homes. So far no structures have been affected.

Highway 140 was closed at the park entrance for all incoming and outgoing traffic.
