Bay Area Rain In Forecast; Weekend Showers Likely

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The Bay Area was seeing mostly cloudy skies Thursday afternoon ahead of the possibility of wet weather for weekend if not sooner.

There was a 20 percent chance of rain in the Bay Area by Thursday afternoon, especially in the North Bay. Highs were expected to be in the 60s to lower 70s with southwesterly winds of up to 10 mph.

Lows were expected to be in the mid 50s to lower 60s, with westerly winds of up to 10 mph.

Mostly cloudy skies are likely Friday morning, with another slight chance of rain. Highs are expected to be in the 60s to mid 70s with easterly winds of up to 15 mph.

By Saturday, the chance of rain increases to 50-60 percent with showers likely continuing throughout the day before reverting to partly cloudy skies Sunday.
