Oakland Passes Bill Forcing Landlords To Evict Sex Workers

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Oakland landlords may be forced to evict some tenants after the city council passed a bill that gives the city power to attempt to curb illegal activities.

The council passed unanimously passed the bill Tuesday allowing the city to evict sex workers that are associated with certain properties, and requires landlords to follow through with those evictions, according to SF Weekly.

Activities including illegal gambling and illegal possession of ammunition are also included in the 'Nuisance Eviction Ordinance," that can get tenants evicted.
