1 Killed In Possible East Oakland Road Rage Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A 30-year old woman was shot and killed in East Oakland Sunday afternoon in an apparent road-rage incident, an Oakland police officer said.

Officers responded around 1 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of Rossmoor Avenue where they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Officer K. Templeman said.

The woman was a passenger in a car driven by her husband when another driver fired a shot into the car.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police were seeking possible witnesses to the shooting

"They may have seen some kind of confrontation with the suspect vehicle and they can provide information to our homicide investigators," Officer Johanna Watson said.

No suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing.
