When Would The Giants World Series Victory Parade Be Held?

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - If you're a die-hard fan of the San Francisco Giants you're already thinking about skipping work this week to catch another World Series Championship victory parade, or at least wondering where you can watch it online. It's going to take some planning. We're here to help.

First, you're going to need to know what day to start developing your call-in-sick cough. That all depends on when the Giants close out the Royals (we're saying when, not if, because it's important to project confidence). If Pence, Posey and company close out Kansas City in Game 6, the parade will be held Thursday on the streets of San Francisco. If the series goes to seven games and the Giants take it, the festivities move to Friday, Halloween.

The final route will be hammered out in the coming hours, with the city expected to provide more details Monday afternoon. We are hearing this includes a change in the start position from the 2012 version. This year the official route would begin at 2nd and Market. As in previous years, the route will center on Market Street and end with speeches at Civic Center Plaza. The event is expected to run from roughly 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Any victory celebrations will be streamed live - right here - on CBSSF.com.

We may be getting slightly ahead of ourselves here, but you can't celebrate a dynasty without a little planning. Should the Giants win one more game this season they'll claim their third World Series in five years, something no National League team has done since the FDR Administration.
