Neighbors Watch As $40K Caterpillar Excavator Stolen From Petaluma Construction Site
PETALUMA (CBS SF) -- Petaluma police said today they are investigating the recent theft of a $40,000 excavator from a construction site.
The 2006 Caterpillar 302.5c mini excavator was stolen from a job site on the corner of East Washington and Payran streets between Saturday evening and Monday morning, police said.
Neighbors saw a flat bed truck in the parking lot before the theft, police said.
