Man Found Shot Dead On Antioch Street Corner
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating the death of a 36-year-old man found with a gunshot wound in Antioch early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a request for a welfare check at Grassland and Whitehoof ways where a man was possibly sleeping on a sidewalk around 2:25 a.m., Sgt. Tom Fuhrmann said.
Arriving officers found a man unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound at the intersection, Fuhrmann said.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene, according to the sergeant.
The Police Department's investigations bureau is looking into the case and no further details were released Saturday morning.
