Market Street Reopens After Being Shut Down In Downtown San Francisco Due To Police Activity

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – San Francisco police shut down Market Street between Van Ness Avenue and Octavia Boulevard late Wednesday morning due to a heavy police presence in the area.

The closure snarled traffic in the downtown and Civic Center area for more than an hour.

Police have not said exactly why they had to close the street, but it was reopened around 1:30 p.m.
