5 Quakes Shake Sonoma County In 24 Hours

YOUNTVILLE (CBS SF) -- Several small earthquakes have hit Sonoma County in the past 24 hours. All of the quakes were within 3 miles of the town Yountville and about 5 miles from the city of Napa.

The quakes began Thursday morning around 10:30 with 2 small quakes with a magnitude of 1.9, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The most recent quake measured 2.0 and occurred at about 8:13 Friday morning.

The strongest temblor measured 3.1 and occurred Thursday at 12:39.

So far, there have been no reports of damages or injuries.

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit this region on August 24. That quake's epicenter was located about 3.7 miles south of Napa.
