Healdsburg Merchants Inspect Flood Damage Downtown
HEALDSBURG (KCBS) -- The small, farm town of Healdsburg felt the impact of the storm early Thursday morning as the downtown area was flooded during the storm.
Dozens of stores along Healdsburg Avenue and surrounding streets were inundated with 2 to 3 feet of water after about four hours of constant rain. The damage assessment is still going on with merchants inspecting the carpeting and walls of their shops
While the water was receding by 10 a.m., cars that had stalled out in the flooded streets still sat.
All schools are closed and Sonoma State University was closed.
A flash flood warning was still in effect and there were many power outages as it continued to rain in the North Bay.
