Arizona Woman Dies From Traumatic Head Injuries After Being Found Unconscious In Livermore Outlet Parking Lot

LIVERMORE (KPIX 5) -- The mystery of Marjorie Hillerman's death begins in the shadow of high-end outlets like Michael Kors in Livermore.

The 61-year old tax preparer and notary from Mesa, Arizona was in the Bay Area on business December 9th when she stopped by the Livermore Premium Outlets.  At 12:15 p.m., calls began flooding in about a woman lying on the asphault with traumatic injuries to the back and side of her head.

"We can't look at her injuries and say, 'Oh yeah – that's an assault,' and you can't say nothing happened.  We just don't know," Livermore Police Officer Steve Goard told KPIX 5.

Marjorie never regained consciousness after the attack, and died from her injuries Tuesday.

Her rental car and belongings were all in the outlet parking lot, and no errant charges were made to her account.  Further stumping detectives is the lack of video surveillance in that area of the parking lot.

Paragon Outlet representatives wouldn't comment on the lack of cameras in the lot, but the outlet's parent company does have security roaming the property, and keeping watch from elevated pods in the parking lot.

Marjorie's family and detectives are hoping for any clue that could bring closure to them.
