An SUV Plows Onto Elementary School Property In West San Jose
SAN JOSE (KCBS) -- A vehicle crashed onto the property of an elementary school in West San Jose on Friday morning, school official said.
An assistant principal from Blackford Elementary School told KCBS' Matt Bigler that a parent, driving the SUV, was dropping his child off at school just before 9 a.m. when he started to have a seizure.
The driver then drove through the property at 1970 Willow Street taking out a bench and a protective pole in front of the school's cafeteria building.
The child suffered minor injuries.
The crash was not related to the ongoing police search for an armed suspect in the area that led to Blackford, and three other area schools to be locked down.
