Santa Clara County Sheriffs Investigate 'Suspicious' Case Of Man Found Dead By His Roommate In Home Near Los Gatos

LOS GATOS (CBS SF) -- The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is investigating the suspicious death of a person whose body was found Friday in a residence in an area between Los Gatos and Saratoga, a spokesman said.

At 3:41 p.m., sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home in the 19000 block of Sky Oaks Way in an unincorporated county area just south of Saratoga Los Gatos Road, sheriff's Sgt. Kurtis Stenderup said.

The male resident of the home called 911 to report that he returned to the residence to find his roommate dead, according to Stenderup.

Deputies and county firefighters responded to the residence and pronounced the person dead, deputies said.

Sheriff's homicide detectives and crime scene investigators arrived to investigate and authorities are waiting for the medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death, Stenderup said.

Investigators regard the death as suspicious, he said.

The Sheriff's Office is asking those with who have information to provide about the case to call homicide detectives at (408) 808-4431.
