Hayward Fire Uses Kitty Oxygen Mask After Apartment Fire Rescue

HAYWARD (CBS SF) - Hayward Fire officials say everyone, including a calico cat, is doing well after crews put down an apartment fire late Wednesday morning.

Inside Bay Area reports the fire broke out in a two-story building at 27290 Tyrrell Ave. just before 11 a.m.

The fire was under control within 10 minutes of their arrival, but the cat wast treated for smoke inhalation.

There was no initial word on what started the blaze.
