SF Weekend Temperatures To Be Warmer Than 4th Of July

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Did you catch the fireworks in San Francisco last 4th of July? If so, you probably bundled up more than you'll need to this weekend.

Temperatures for San Francisco Saturday are expected to hit 67 degrees and jump to 71 degrees for Sunday and Monday. By contrast, the San Francisco high on the 4th of July was just 64 degrees.

The average high for this time of year in San Francisco is 57 degrees. However, a year ago we also saw temperatures hit 71 degrees on January 25th.

Inland temperatures will be even warmer, nearing 70 degrees, but that won't match the inland temperatures we saw in July.

Hour-by-hour forecasts for your zip code is available in our Weather Center, where you'll see the possibility of rain returning to our seven-day forecast.

If the warm weather sounds like a recipe for a beach day, be aware, the region is under a high surf advisory for the start of the weekend.
