Surveillance Images Released Of Man Police Say Stole Puppy After Punching SF Muni Passenger

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police have released surveillance images of a man who allegedly punched an 18-year-old aboard a San Francisco Muni bus and stole his pit bull puppy out of a backpack.

Officers described the suspect as a black male adult, approximately 26 years old, 5-foot-9 and last seen wearing a black cap and a black vest over a gray sweatshirt.

Police responded to 6th and Mission St. on January 22 at around 2:40 a.m. and interviewed the unidentified victim, who said the man punched him in the face and then took the dog out of his backpack before exiting the bus with it.
