5 Acts That Should Play Super Bowl 50's Halftime Show At Levi's Stadium
There are only roughly 365 days until the Super Bowl comes to Levi's Stadium, which means that we have a lot of planning to do.
While the teams duke it out to get the chance to compete for the Lombardi trophy next season, we'll be busy hoping that some of our favorite acts will be the next to grace the massive stage during the big game's Halftime Show.
Here are some of our preliminary suggestions (ahem, we're talking to you Super Bowl Planning Committee!) for who should be granted the honor of playing the 2016 show.
1. Sia with David Guetta, Flo Rida and Eminem

Sia, the brain behind some of pop's biggest hits in recent years, has finally come out of her shell (more or less) to reveal her incredible voice. She has appeared on tracks with David Guetta, Flo Rida, and Eminem and released her own album 1000 Forms of Fear, featuring hits "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart". Due to her performance anxiety, it seems unlikely she'd be willing to take part in a show like this, but, hey, we can dream.
2. No Doubt with Calvin Harris and Pharrell 
While 2014 was the Year of Pharrell thanks to mega-hits like "Happy" and "Come Get It Bae", 2015 is looking like it might be the Year of Gwen. After announcing she would be leaving "The Voice" to work on her music career, news emerged that the No Doubt frontwoman would be hitting the road for solo shows and festivals (BottleRock included). She already released a song featuring Pharrell, and now, news has it that Stefani is about to release a track with EDM mastermind Calvin Harris. As we know from her insistence on bringing an entire marching band onto SNL's tiny stage for "Hollaback Girl" (which coincidentally was also written by Pharrell), Stefani knows how to put on a big production. The Super Bowl Halftime Show would be B-A-N-A-N-A-S, and by that, we mean business as usual for Stefani.
3. Maroon 5 with Christina Aguilera
Since releasing Songs About Jane in 2012, Maroon 5 has evolved from John Mayer-endorsed rock to bona fide pop superstardom. All five albums that the band has released have gone platinum, and the staggering list of hit singles they've put out make them a good bet to be a massive crowd-pleaser. Add in "Voice" co-star Christina Aguilera for her part in "Moves Like Jagger" (OMG what if ACTUAL Mick Jagger played on this one?????) and dish her a little time to sing her face off with "Ain't No Other Man" and this might be the one of the best match-ups in years.
4. Taylor Swift
Have you seen Taylor Swift? The crossover fairy was born to entertain huge crowds. Cool enough to be dissed publicly by Kanye (and subsequently defended by the President) but still down-to-earth enough to personally send her fans Christmas gifts, Swift is all superstar talent with none of the diva downside. That, of course, all comes before you even consider the magnanimous appeal that is 2014 hits like "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space". Taylor Swift would be an easy Super Bowl pick. Even Kendrick Lamar is a huge fan and chances are, your Grandma is too.
5. Kanye West with Paul McCartney, Rihanna and Jay Z
(Maria Ives for Radio.com) Kanye West isn't just Kanye West's favorite artist, he's also an incredible musician. West works with some of the best minds in music, as evidenced by his collaborations with Paul McCartney and Rihanna (and probably Jay Z) on the yet-to-be-dropped new album. He has made a career of evolving his style significantly since dropping College Dropout in 2004, and has proven he knows what it takes to entertain the masses. Plus, if there's any song that deserves a large-scale performance on such a stage as the Super Bowl Halftime Show, it's "All of the Lights".
