ACE Train Headed To San Jose Strikes, Injures Pedestrian In Stockton
STOCKTON (KCBS) -- An Altamont Corridor Express train headed to San Jose struck and injured a pedestrian in Stockton Tuesday morning.
Officer Joe Silva, a spokesman for the Stockton Police Department, told KCBS that the collision occurred at 6:57 a.m. as the commuter train was leaving the maintenance yard, near the intersection of Acacia and North Union streets.
The 37-year-old man was alert and conscious and transported to a hospital, Silva said.
The No. 7 ACE train was the last train scheduled to leave at 7:05 a.m. for the morning was delayed for about 45 minutes.
