Can You Call Yourself A Bay Area Runner If You've Never Done The Dipsea?

KPIX 5 Morning Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales answers the questions you never get to ask on-air.

I like to run. I like to run a lot! Granted at one time, I was much faster than I am today, so now I just trot along. I merely tell myself to "keep moving forward!"

Since 1997 I have completed 30 Marathons from San Francisco to New York, Chicago to Los Angeles, San Diego to Madison, Wisconsin. I have qualified five times for the prestigious Boston Marathon. I have saved my money and traveled to London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Switzerland and Portugal for foot races. But never before have I participated in one of the oldest foot races in the Unites States, the Dipsea.

The Dipsea Race has been a mainstay in Mill Valley since 1905. It is annually slated and scheduled on the second Sunday in June and anyone who runs in the Bay Area, has heard of this renown race.

I was just sent this amazing and inspiring video and would love to share it with all of you.  Will I see you at this year's 105th Annual Dipsea Race? I hope so! Let's do it!
