Brave Stockton Girl Puts Herself Between Speeding Car And Little Brother To Save His Life

STOCKTON (KPIX 5) -- A courageous 11-year-old girl in Stockton didn't hesitate to risk her life to save her little brother's.

Rosie Carino and her brother were halfway across the street when a car started speeding towards them. The little girl pushed her brother out of the way - and put herself in the path of the driver.

Rosie suffered a fractured pelvis. Her brother has a forehead bruise from falling into the road.

"I pulled my brother out of the way, but by the time I pulled him out of the way, the car had already hit me and I like, spinned."

The driver that hit her sped away. Witnesses saw the car ran two red lights down the road and noticed the vehicle didn't have license plates.
