Video Project Aimed At Capturing True Beauty Of National Parks May Actually Do Just That

(CBS SF) – It seems that no matter how many photos you take you can’t quite capture the majesty of America’s National Parks. A team of brothers has taken on the challenge or really capturing the mystique of the parks, with some seriously beautiful results.

The More Than Just Parks project by brothers Will & Jim Pattiz is a multimedia experience aimed at giving you the feel of the parks you’ve never managed to explore on your own. Here are just a few of their photos:

“Our goal is to effect a greater awareness of the treasures that reside within America’s National Parks. We plan to accomplish this goal through visually stunning short films, engaging online interactions, and breathtaking imagery,” the duo reports from their website, which has a number of exceptional photos from each location.

So far they’ve generated timelapse-filled videos from Olympic, Great Smokey Mountains and Joshua Tree National Parks, but they say they plan to eventually hit all 58 in the system.

Here’s a look at their video project from Joshua Tree in Southern California:

Jim Pattiz said there are no specific dates planned to return to California, but said the next Golden State site will likely be a much different climate than Joshua Tree.
