2-Year Old Boy Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car While Walking Near San Jose Intersection

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)-- A two-year-old boy has been seriously injured after being struck by a car in East San Jose.

It happened around 11:15 a.m. on Monday near the intersection of Midpine and McLaughlin avenues. Responding officers found the boy on the ground. He was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, but the injuries have not been classified as life-threatening at this time.

The driver remained at the scene and has cooperated with the investigation. There is no indication of alcohol or drugs being a factor in this collision.

A preliminary investigation has found the young boy wandered into the street and was struck by the car.
