Sportsbook: Indianapolis Colts Favored To Win Super Bowl 50 At Levi's Stadium

SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) -- After a blur of off-season personnel changes, one NFL team is emerging as a favorite to win Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium – the Indianapolis Colts with new running back and former San Francisco 49er Frank Gore.

The Colts are 5-1 favorites to win the Super Bowl played next door to 49ers headquarters in Santa Clara, according to MGM sportsbook odds obtained by ESPN. Other sports books list the Seahawks, Patriots and Packers as favorites.

Never one to keep his thoughts to himself, Gore – nicknamed 'The Inconvenient Truth' - said he signed with Indy this week because the Colts offered him the best chance for a Super Bowl trophy.

Gore also called his former teammate at the University of Miami, 7-time Pro Bowler Andre Johnson, to encourage him to sign with Indy, joining an offense led by perhaps the best quarterback in the league, former Stanford Cardinal Andrew Luck.

"At this point in my career, you know, I want to be with a team who's got a shot at the trophy," said the 10-year veteran nicknamed 'The Inconvenient Truth' in an interview posted on the Colts' website.

The 49ers were Gore's best chance at a title from 2011-2013, until the team stumbled to an 8-8 record in 2014 and missed the playoffs. Meanwhile, the Colts came up one game short of reaching the Super Bowl last season, and aside from Gore and Johnson have added pass-rushing linebacker Trent Cole, defensive lineman Kendall Langford and guard Todd Herremans.

While Indianapolis has greatly improved its odds of winning the Lombardi trophy, Gore's former team is heading the other way. Following multiple seasons as the favorite or among the top favorites, San Francisco was listed at 25-1 to win the Super Bowl at MGM and 33-1 at Bovada.
