Gunman On The Loose After Lunchtime Shooting In Yountville
YOUNTVILLE (CBS SF) - The town of Yountville is perhaps best known for the French Laundry and other famed restaurants, but anyone in the area around noon Monday may have had that lunch interrupted by the sound of gunfire.
Napa County sheriff's deputies report that a shooting occurred in the 6000 block of Solano Avenue south of Yountville shortly before 12:10 p.m.
A suspect fled in a vehicle and was pursued to private property off of Wall Road, where he fled on foot.
Sheriff's officials are advising residents to lock their doors, be alert and report any suspicious person in the area.
It's not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the shooting.
